Our January Favourites
I started this blog as a way of documenting some our favourite photos, so for 2017 I'm going to do a monthly feature of some of the highlights. All photos are taken with our Nikon D3200 with either the kit lens or 35mm f/1.8 G. I hope you enjoy them!
A New Year
This photo is already so special to me because it was taken on January the 1st 2017 in my most favourite place in the world, Dores Beach at Loch Ness.
I love special moments between the boys when they genuinely enjoy each other's company. Winter actually always loves spending time with Jonah, but the relationship isn't always as affectionate the other way! Bath time is the best time to get them together in a good mood and not much violence!
I love going to the beach at this time of the year when the sun is shining but there is a breeze that really makes you feel alive! This shot is special because it was Winter's first real attampt to walk in shoes... I know that I made it pretty tough for him on a stony beach, but he gave it a good try.
Sunlight at this time of the year is so rich and golden and a perfect way of highlighting some fun outdoors. Wellies on the beach are a must have for Jonah because he just can't help himself but splash!
I couldn't resist snapping Jonah in this tree at Knightshayes National Trust because there is so much detail in this old trunk! I love how it frames Jonah. I added a softer filter to make it look quite dreamy and magical, like maybe the rabbit hole from Alice in Wonderland!
I find that I get the best interaction from the boys when we are just playing around on the bed taking photos. I capture some of their best expressions there. Like this grumpy yawn from Winter and that cheeky grin from Jonah below. They are at their most relaxed and this is how I remember them!
Thanks so much for stopping by. I would love to hear your thoughts!
See you at the end of Feb for our round up!
