A delicious way to help towards our 5 – a – day with new Dolmio Veggie Goodness Range #ad
Everyone loves a Spaghetti Bolognese, right? In this house, having to feed 4 hungry boys (husband included), it’s the perfect meal to fill up those hungry tummies with carbs, protein and loads of vitamins and nutrients. Not only does it fill the boys up with food that I know is great for them but also, they absolutely love it. Equally, with a glass of red wine (for the parents of course) it can be a meal that becomes a highlight of the mid-week dinner carousel!
So, we count ourselves very lucky that we have children that not only love eating loads of food but equally are more than happy with most things we put in front of them including and in some cases especially vegetables. This might be as a result of watching Daddy scoff down everything edible within a 5-meter radius as if he’s some sort of starving pig! Don’t tell him I said that.
As I’ve said, getting vegetables into the boys’diet isn’t that difficult for us as long we’ve presented them correctly. This is where Dolmio’snew Veggie Goodness Sauces step in. Right from the get-go Dolmio Sauces are delivering 2 of their 5 a day. Once we’ve added a few vegetables of our own, we can confidently place a meal in front of them knowing its packed full of the goodness little boys require if they are to grow up to be big boys. Weather you’re aim is to surreptitiously deliver vegetables to your youngsters or simply to add extra goodness to the dish, these Veggie Goodness Pouches will be perfect for you. They are even suitable for Vegetarians. Regardless of your motives for using this sauce, one thing always remains the same, it tastes great! You’ve only got to ask our children and resident Daddy to confirm this. I’m pretty sure the pictures are proof enough that this meal delivers on great taste.
If you’ve seen our insta stories and post you will know we made a good old SpagBol using 2 of the Veggie Goodness ‘Smooth Tomato and Hidden Veg Bolognese sauce which is excellent for fussy eaters and those who also love vegetables.
If you fancy trying out our recipe (which is more of a chuck everything in type of thing) we used:
2 garlic cloves
750g lean beef mince
2 pouches of Dolmio Smooth Tomato and Hidden Veg Sauce for Bolognese
A pinch of salt and ground black pepper
Although we focussed on a Bolognese, Dolmiohave create 3 other Veggie Goodness pasta sauces, each with 2 of your 5 a day to enjoy:
Sun-ripened tomato, courgette and basil pasta sauce
Sun-ripened Tomato, Sweet Pepper and chilli Pasta Sauce
Sun-ripened Tomato, Lentil and Garlic Sauce
Which one will you try?
We have worked in collaboration with Dolmio to promote their new Veggie Goodness range. All opinions are our own.
